Anchorage Sport Fish Hatchery
(Anchorage, AK)
This 134,000 square-foot sport fish hatchery will be the largest enclosed sport fish hatchery in North America. When completed, the hatchery will raise king salmon, silver salmon, rainbow trout, arctic char, and arctic grayling. The four air handlers serving the production area are some of the largest air handlers in the state. Construction began in the summer of 2009 and is scheduled to be substantially complete in the spring of 2011. Once complete the Alaska Department of Fish and Game will begin producing fish in the hatchery which will be released into the wild.
ELM-297 F-22 Squad Ops
(Elmendorf AFB, AK)
Construction on this new hanger, which is the largest hanger project in the new F-22 program at Elmendorf AFB, began in May of 2009 and is scheduled to be complete by April 2011. The project consists of 35,000 square-feet hanger space which can accommodate six F-22s at once, and 49,000 square feet of squadron operations facility which includes office space for the supporting squadron commanders, mission planning, and debriefing facilities. This project will be jointly operated by the Air Force and the Air National Guard. The high level of security associated with this project makes it very unique. The squadron operations facility hosts several areas which require high levels of security which entail distinctive construction methods.
ELM-301 Weapons Loading Crew Training Facility
(Elmendorf AFB, AK)
This new hanger began construction in September of 2010. It will be a 18,200 square-foot facility that will have office space intended for weapons loading training and a hanger that will hold one F-22. This project is very unique due to the need to have the aircrafts Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) running during the loading of weapons. The APU supplies power to the plane and creates an exhaust that needs to be exhausted from the building when running. The unique location of the APU on the plane and the high temperatures associated with the exhaust makes this system very unique. Construction is scheduled to be complete in July of 2011.

Nullagvik Hotel
(Kotzebue, AK)
This hotel will be a 52,000 square-foot, 4-story hotel located in the remote location of Kotzebue, AK. The limited barge schedule to this location made the procurement very unique, but typical for remote projects in the state of Alaska. The air handlers for this project had a lead time of nearly 23 weeks from time of order until the time of arrival at the job site. These remote jobs require a large amount of pre-planning due to the fact that there are only three barges that travel to Kotzebue a year and the only other way of getting material to the jobsite is by airplane. This project has a scheduled completion date of June 2011.
Bethel AVCP-RHA Headquarters
(Bethel, AK)
This new facility will be 32,000 square-feet of office space with an additional building housing the boiler, generator, and sprinkler system located in Bethel, AK. This project is also remote and required an extensive amount of pre-planning. Construction began in the Summer of 2010 and is scheduled to be complete by the end of 2011.
